Applications

SensorMetrix specializes in design, fabrication and testing of metamaterials and other advanced electromagnetic materials – artificially structured composites with on-demand electromagnetic and structural properties sometimes not found in nature. These materials are typically constructed of periodic arrays of metal and dielectric patterns arranged in specific ways to enable desired EM properties including positive/negative/gradient refractive index, tailored emissivity, EM impedance or acoustic properties. These materials range from RF/microwave to infrared frequencies and employ a range of different fabrication techniques. SensorMetrix has conducted a range of research and development projects and delivered the most advanced electromagnetic materials for antenna, radar, lens, selective emitter, cloak and other applications.
